Dark Leaf Farms is located at 2870 Mud Road in Concord. Dark Leaf Farms features a pumpkin patch, corn maze, hay rides, bounce house, barrel ride, combine play area, and more. Dark Leaf Farms is open weekends starting Sunday September 20. Fall hours are Fridays from 4-6 PM, Saturdays from 10 AM - 6 PM, and Sundays from 1-5 PM through Oct. 31. Follow Dark Leaf Farms on Facebook for information Spookley and haunted corn maze dates. Dark Leaf Farms will hold its annual Fall Festival on Oct. 5 with food trucks and vendors on site! They are planning the haunted corn maze and a spookley evening for younger friends.
Yoders' Farm is located at 1134 Browns Mill Road in Rustburg. Yoders' will be opening Sept. 19th for the Fall Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch season. Kids of all ages can enjoy the corn maze, pumpkin patch, duck races, farm animals and more. No hay rides this year due to Covid-19. Farm admission is free with a charge for the corn maze and hayride (both free for ages 5 and under accompanied by a paying adult). Advance online tickets will be available this year. This year's corn maze is better than ever. Race your friends on the corn maze leaderboard using the corn maze app. Hours are 10 AM - 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. During October, Yoders' is also open from 4 PM - 7 PM on Tuesday through Thursday.
Layman Family Farms is located at 1815 Mountain View Church Road in Blue Ridge. Layman opens for the season on Sept. 19 and will be open Saturdays and Sundays through early November. Many activities are included with admission, including: Corn Maze, Hayrides, Pumpkin patch, Duck Racers, Corn Crib, Tunnel Slide, Giant Tires, Bird House Village play area, Corn Snake, Pumpkin Maze, Roller Bowler, Giant Jenga, Pumpkin Tether Ball, Animated Chicken Show, Spookley Storybook Trail, Barnyard Ball Zone, Corn Hole, Pumpkin Checkers and Farm Animals. Each guest receives a wristband with three 'pumpkins' to use on special attractions: the cow train, corn cannon, jumping pillow, bee line zip, and apple/ pumpkin blaster. Purchase additional tokens to enjoy these attractions more than once. Layman Farm is open Saturdays from 10-7 and Sundays from 11-6. Admission is free for kids under age 3. Tickets are available online or pay at the gate.
Jeter Farm is located at 181 Blue Ridge Boulevard in Roanoke. Jeter Farm opens for the season on Sept. 26 and will be open Saturdays and Sundays through Nov. 1. All activities are included with admission fees. Enjoy the corn maze, hay rides, barnyard zoo, games, slides, pick your own pumpkin, and more. Hours are Saturdays from 9-6 and Sundays from 12-6. Kids ages 2 and under are free.
Lottie J Farm is located at 4787 Patterson Mill Road in Bedford. Lottie J Farm is new on the scene for 2020! They're excited to host their very first open farm days from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturdays from Sept. 19 through Oct. 31. Come meet the critters. They have alpacas, pigs, goats and chickens. Pick the perfect pumpkin, climb the hay pyramid, slide down and take a dip in the corn pit. Sit back, take a big country breath and enjoy the gorgeous mountain views! They will have products (scarves, hats, ear warmers, etc.) made from fiber from our very own alpacas. Admission is only $3 a person and kids 3 and under are free. Pumpkins and products will be an additional cost.
Blue Ridge Mountain Maze is located at 165 Old Ridge Road in Lovingston. Blue Ridge Mountain Maze is also new for 2020. The owners relocated from Northern Virginia, where they owned and operated a top rated corn maze for 20 years. In addition to the corn maze, you can also visit the farm animals, try out the pumpkin slingshot, race in the obstacle course, enjoy the outdoor play area, and check out the night maze. Blue Ridge Mountain Maze is open Thursday through Sunday from Sept. 26 through Nov. 8. Kids 3 and under are free with paid adult admission. Hours are Thursdays and Fridays from 1-6 PM, Saturdays from 10 AM - 10 PM, and Sundays from 10 AM - 6 PM. In addition, Blue Ridge Mountain Maze will be open on Columbus Day, Monday, Oct. 12 from 10 AM - 6 PM.
Smith's Pumpkin Patch is located at 6204 Fort Avenue in Lynchburg. Smith's opens for the season on Oct. 1 and will be open daily through Oct. 31. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 3-8 PM, Friday and Saturday from 10 AM - 9 PM, and Sunday from 12-8 PM. Admission is $5 a person and includes Pumpkin Painting, Teepee, Tunnel Roll, Hay Run, Sling Shot, Checkers, and Noah’s Ark. In addition, hayrides will be available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for $2 per person. Smith's will not open the bounce houses this year due to Covid-19.
Silver Creek & Seamans' Orchards is located at 5529 Crabtree Falls Highway in Tyro. The pumpkin patch and corn maze are open Oct. 1-31 for pick-your-own pumpkins. Market hours are Monday through Thursday from 1-4 PM, Friday and Saturday from 10-4, and Sunday from 1-4:30 PM. There are also special PYO dates for apples at Silver Creek Orchard in Tyro on Sept. 12 and Oct. 10, at Seamans' Orchard in Roseland on Sept. 19 and 20, and Oct. 24 at both orchards. The Apple Butter Festival will not be held in 2020 due to Covid-19.
White Fall Farm, located at 6001 Riceville Road in Gretna, will not open their pumpkin hunt and hay castle in 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions. A decision on pick-your-own pumpkins will be made at a later date.
